Ayurveda principles are based on the system of "dosha",
or elements. The three doshas of Ayurveda have the properties of earth,
water and fire. The functioning of the body depends on these three doshas.
Any imbalance in the doshas is supposed to give rise to various physical
and mental ailments. Ayurveda aims at healing the body by bringing it
back in sync with its doshas.
